Welcome to Blaine airport, 4W6. 13nm from Point Roberts (1RL), a little accident of political boundaries accessible by boat, airplane, or customs line. If I'm going to log 1RL in a trike, it's going to have to be from Blaine, but that means a 9-mile overwater crossing. And that means before the end of 2008, when Blaine Airport becomes a strip mall and a Dunkin' Donuts.
[20/20 hindsight: crossing 9 miles of water in an ultralight motor was a dumb idea. I was hoping to have a mile of altitude so that I'd always be a 5:1 glide from shore, but I didn't realize until the day of the flight that there was overlying airspace. Had my engine chosen that day to quit, I'd have been at best very very cold. I should have gone somewhere else.]
